To create a 15 second  interlude for the South African off-beat Afrikaans music channel MK.

The brief guidelines were as follows: "Go Crazy. Be out there- outrageous as you want to be. Be wierd. Be wacky!"

 

S O L U T I O N

 

To be barbaric- barbaric with Barbie. Below are three 15 second interludes which demand an open mind. They leave the viewer saying; “Huh what just happened?” and if this is how you feel then Barbie’s MK magical powers have worked. 

 

I N S I R A T I O N

 

Rough collages, cut-outs and poorly photoshopped images. 

B A T H T I M E

 

One spends some time with Barbie doing her perfectly normal daily routine in the kitchen. We find out that Barbie is in fact human too as she can fart, however there is a twist. 

T A N N I N G  S A L O N

 

We go on a tanning journey with Barbie in the salon. Things get a little hot, the tanning bed is actually a toasted sandwich machine. What a twist in the tale right? 

B A K I N G  C L A S S

 

We visit Barbie again in the kitchen. This time it is educational as we learn how to bake thanks to the help of Barbra the Barbie.
